Aims & Membership

The Model T Ford Club of Australia Inc. aims to encourage its membership in the restoration and preservation of the Model T Ford and other veteran and vintage motor vehicles. The club holds meetings, runs, social events and a swap meet and communicates with its members (and others) by a monthly newsletter called the Buzzer Box and via its website www.modeltfordclubaustralia.org.au

Membership Fees

Annual fees are due with the Treasurer on 30 June each year. The current fees are as follows:

Joining Fee – $25 (Once off)

Family Rate – $50

Single Rate – $45

Pensioner/Senior Rate – $40

Country Rate – $40

Club Rooms

The Club’s own clubrooms are situated in the median Strip of Port Road, Croydon, opposite Officeworks (near Queen Street approximately 450 metres west of the South Road intersection). The phone number at the Clubrooms is 8340 8366

The Clubrooms are available for hire to other clubs and to Committee approved private functions, by arrangement with the Clubrooms Booking Co-coordinator.


General Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month (except January) at 8pm in the clubrooms. These meetings are open to members and their families. Friends and visitors are always welcome. Supper and a chat are customary after every meeting.

Committee members meet on the second Wednesday of each month. (except December) at 7:30pm in the clubrooms.

The Annual general Meeting is held in July each year immediately after the General Meeting. Annual trophies are presented at this meeting.


Runs are usually held on the third Sunday of most months (except December) and are advertised in the Buzzer Box. Some runs maybe in association with other clubs.

The Annual Run is one of the runs held in autumn. It is held over a weekend and includes an overnight stay at the destination.

Social Events

Social events are held from time to time and are advertised in the Buzzer Box.

Buzzer Box Nights

Each edition of the Buzzer Box is distributed so as to be received about the beginning of the month (except January). They are printed, collated, stapled and prepared for posting on the last Wednesday of the preceding month, commencing at about 6:00pm in the clubrooms. Members are always welcome to assist.

Working Bees

Working Bees at the clubrooms are held from time to time (once or twice per year) and are advertised in the Buzzer Box.

Historic Vehicles Registration System

Concessional registration of historic motor vehicles is available only to financial members of a registered club such as this Club. Application forms are available from one of the Club’s Historic Vehicle Registrars. Once your car is registered, a Historic Vehicle Registrar can issue a logbook. The logbook is endorsed each year and enables travel for a total of 90 days for that year, for any purpose other than for fare, hire or reward. Each day your vehicle is to be driven, a log book entry must be made prior to departure.

Buzzer Box Contributions

The Editor welcomes member’s contributions to the Buzzer Box, be they reports, restoration news, advertisements, views, successes and problems, jokes, poems or anything that will inform, educate or amuse our members. Advertisements to buy, sell or swap any vehicles, Parts, etc are free to members and are normally run for 3 editions. Copy deadline with the Editor is the Friday before the last Wednesday of each month (Buzzer Box Night).
